Join the UNEP’s debate on air pollution: “Why do you think promoting air quality is crucial to your health and what measures should be taken?”

Background: Promoting air quality is at the forefront of the sustainable development agenda. Substantially reducing by 2030 the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution and contamination is a key component of SDG 3: “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”. This global commitment is grounded in the landmark decisions reached at the World Health Assembly in 2015 (Air Pollution and Health) and in 2014 at UNEA-1 (Strengthening the role of the UNEP in promoting air quality).

Exchange views on how air quality can be addressed in UNEA2, during the ministerial policy review devoted to the theme “Healthy Environment-Healthy People”.
